Why do we get turkey "farts",,also why are we sleepy after eating a meal of turkey?

Another is lack of exercise and not enough fiber in the diet. And don't assume it's the turkey. It may have been another dish.
Yes Tryptophane is the chemical in the turkey which is a contributor to drowsiness but, you would have to eat a heck of a lot of turkey to really put you into a sound sleep. Ut's got just as much to do with the combonations of foods you est.

Also, turkey contains an enzyme or some such crap that makes one tired. Or here ya go:
Turkey does have the makings of a natural sedative in it, an amino acid called tryptophan. Tryptophan is an essential amino acid, meaning that the body cannot manufacture it.

cos we eat too much and its hard to digest so it takes longer to go through the system and gives of a gas that gets into our system and has to be released hehe thats when we fart

everyone gets gas from all kinds of food its just the way our body made some gets gas when others don't sorry you do
