Well, that's an interesting question. Most people will be rather quick to tell you that at least as a historical figure, there is no doubt about his existence. However, they don't know their history very well.

First and foremost, there are no contemporary historical documents which mention Jesus Christ. Not one. The historians that are most often cited as having written about Jesus (Josephus, Seutonius, Lucian, Tacitus, Pliny, Justin Martyr, etc.) were born decades after Jesus' alleged crucifixion. It's also important to note that, unlike so many other famous historical figures, Jesus left no writings of his own.

The earliest known document which mentions Jesus Christ is, of course, the New Testament, which was most likely written around thirty to fifty years after Jesus' alleged death. However, seeing as how it is not contemporary, not supported by contemporary works, and concerns itself with supernatural elements (something for which historical documents cannot be used as evidence), it cannot really be used as a reliable historical account.

I hope that helps.

Jesus did exist, but not any more, except in the minds of his followers.

Yes, Jesus, the Son of the one true God, DOES exist.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that doesn't believe Jesus existed. The question you should be asking is "Is he really the son of a god?"

That's a stupid question why do you think they wrote all those red lines in the bible. How could anyone speak in solid red if they didn't exist. So you take your Heathen Infidel old Atheist butt and go count your monkey bones. xx

Basically you are asking if the Bible is true.,...... YES!

Bible Truth - The Passion of the Ancient Writers
When it comes to Bible truth, many critics argue that the early Church deliberately corrupted the Bible's text for its own agenda. As for this argument, ask yourself one question: would a group of men who were willing to suffer terrible persecution and die horrible deaths in defense of the Scriptures be guilty of corrupting those very same Scriptures? That's lunacy! If they corrupted the Scriptures, or knowingly allowed them to be corrupted, that would mean they knowingly suffered and died for a lie! No one suffers and dies for a lie! For example, the September 11th suicide hijackers may have sincerely believed in what they died for, but they weren't in a position to know whether or not what they believed was true; they put their faith in traditions passed down to them over many generations. They didn't knowingly die for a lie; they died for a lie in ignorance.

In contrast, the New Testament's martyrs either saw what they claimed to see or they didn't; plain and simple. Either they interacted with the resurrected Christ or they didn't. They certainly knew whether or not their testimony was true! Nevertheless, these men clung to their testimonies, even to their brutal deaths at the hands of their persecutors, and despite being given every chance to recant, knowing full well whether their testimony was true of false. Why would so many men knowingly die for a lie? They had nothing to gain for lying and obviously everything to lose.

He probably existed, but he wasn't the son of God. All I know is, he probably spelled better than you do.
