First of all, there is not such thing as NORMAL, whether u put it in parenthesis or not, and there is no way to tell if atheists are smarter or not, it's just like asking if a poodle is smarter than a cocker spaniel. Atheists have their views and Christians have their own.

Let's see, Atheists - Not afraid to admit they don't have all the answers, Can change their mind when information warrants change, don't waste their time and money buying into the lie that they are going to cheat death and go to a cosmic Disneyland after they die, yeah, sounds like they are far smarter that delusional superstitionist religionist fools.

I know a website where they promote normalcy. But being normal is not necessarily different from being an atheist, or whatever.
You know...you might be whatever you are AND wrong, and perhaps that bothers you. You don't want to be wrong but you have to, there are other factors to consider besides rightness and wrongness, and you've opted for wrongness...just a guess.

I think on average, they are - however, that isn't absolute. There probably are atheists out there that are dumber than some Christians, and Christians out there who are smarter than most atheists.

There is a tested and demonstratable correlation between higher IQ and atheism, as well as between higher education and atheism.
Note that these are correlations. You can still have a theist with a 220 IQ or a PhD, or an atheist with a 90 IQ or no real formal education, so a few examples is insufficient disproof of the studies (which have involved thousands).

Athiests are normal people, they are no smarter or less smart than anyone else. It's wrong to class athiests as different to other people, everyone is equal.

When people claim to have "found" God after committing sins against Christ (like Tom Haggard, Tom DeLay, and so many other hypocrites), being an aethist is the least worst thing people can be in their lives.

To bushfire, what is kind of funny and sad at the same time is that little children of whom Jesus said "of such is the kingdom of heaven," believe in all of those things, and if they are taught that Jesus loves them believe it with hearts opened by their creator and able to accept his love. Widsom itself quickly teaches them that easter bunnies and santa claus don't exist but It's only when we grow up into "intelligent" adults that we begin to believe that we are capable of deciding for ourselves what is the truth.

If thinking they are smarter gets them through the day, then why should we discourage that kind of delusional thinking?
