A holiday for the rest of us?
I read in the newspaper the other day (the IE Press Enterprise), that a company in the US is making and selling Festivus Poles.
What are some of the other things that would be associated with the Festivus Celebration?

That is funny! I love Seinfeld!
Isn't airing your grievances part of Festivus?

Festivus was yesterday. You missed it.
My family has celebrated for a couple of years now, with feats of strength, the annual airing of grievances and of course the Festivus pole.
Peace

the only element i be attentive to approximately Festivus is the call (and the stunning little rhyming slogan approximately it being "for the restivus"). I rejoice yuletide and Channukha (or maybe nonetheless you desire to spell it), yet a chuffed Festivus to you too even nonetheless.

you know, i've been thinking about this and am kind of thinking a generic, non-denominational, non-religious, non-seinfeld-related holiday really isn't a bad thing. i like the idea of good will (but that should be a common, daily practice), and of giving presents and of a holiday everyone can equally look forward to.

christmas has become either too commercial or too fundamentalist for me to enjoy anymore. i was raised christian, i'm not an atheist, but i'm not sure what i truly believe about the whole jesus thing.

my suggestion for a generic holiday (i'd really rather have a different name, something like "happy YouWeUs!") tradition is shopping for YouWeUs presents on dec. 26.

LOL! Yeah I would celebrate that LOL! Happy Festivus! I would suggest scarfs that has different colors and when you buy it, you select a scarf randomly so you won't know what color or pattern it has!
