I don't believe in reincarnation. I think we only have one life. And when it's over, it's over.

Reincarnation seems like a eastern religious belief and they believe in what I do not. Instead I feel that my soul and self are eternal....Eternal because they will never die simply exsit through the ages, going through the same cycles that I did but in a different form. to say that I reincarnate I could be a christian or islamic person in another life. Therefore I'd rather say I have an eternal soul and being

Hello there mr. atheist. I think it is cool that you are an atheist. We need people like you around! You like to think for yourself and you don't let people turn you another way. While I don't believe in reincarnation, I don't know if it is NOT possible. You know what I mean? It COULD BE possible. I mean, I have never died. At least, not yet! If I was to be reincarnated I would like to be a bird. Eagle. But I guess people could be reincarnated into another human. Kind of like that movie that I saw when the adults are reincarnted into babies. May be the people that want to be reincarnted- will be-and the ones that don't want to be- wont be?

I'm a Christian, but I used to be an atheist, so I guess I can still answer this... when I was six, I did believe in reincarnation. I thought that everyone lived from an infant to age 99, and then they died and became another person...

My, my, my...aren't you a bit feisty. I'm not an atheist...I'm spiritual, soulful, not of any ' religion ', yet respectful of all. I do believe in reincarnation. I believe we reincarnate in human form. As far as reincarnating to another place in the universe? Yes, possible option, why not ? I'm not narrow minded as to think that Earth is the only place that has life form, beings. You're interesting. This may not be welcomed...but I'll state it anyway...maybe think about lightening up and not making such blocked out harsh statements to ' others ' as you stated to Christians...It's not only rude but you know with statements as you made that you're only going to draw them out to step on your path even more. Smiles to you.

Do you really think they will pay attention? Sorry, but I am neither atheist or Christian, so do I count? I hope you will not treat me as Christians do! I am Wiccan. Yeah, we believe in re-incarnation, coming back in human form. As to the question of where, I think it is possible to be reincarnated in another place in the universe as a sentient being, why not? I am open minded enough to consider the possibility!

Dead is dead. I'll be gone. Some memories will reside with family and friends but that will fade in time. It will only take 2 or 3 generations for any of us to be completely forgotten. A possible exception might be those few people who achieve something significant in their life. Something worthy of a mention in a history text book. But even then the lamp will eventually go out.
Example:
Who invented the transistor?
Who drilled the first oil well in the US?
Name a famous 19th Century comedian?
If buried, we'll be worm food. If burned, air pollution.

1) I do not believe in reincarnation.
2) I feel it's a made up concept for people who fear death.
3) When I die I go nowhere but the dirt and become nothing but a rotting corpse. The truth hurts.

Well I don't think death is the end but I reject all these religious ideas of after-life and living with god if you've petted his ego enough to get into the god club.
I sometimes think about it but I'm sort of set on a strong "I don't know" for what happens. I somehow have this idea that as your "light" dies out another is born and that your spirit is in there somewhere. I don't know but this is the 1st time I've answered a question like this. Good one.

I don't know...I don't see why reincarnation is necessary. I don't see the need to exist after death. We didn't exist before we were born, so why should we exist after? In any case, who cares...once you're gone, you're gone. I think it is merely a response to the fear of death. It is a lot more scary (to most people) when they know there is nothing after this....
Amazing how many people can't read....your questioon clearly states that you want answers from atheists/non christians and STILL they cannot resist condemning you to hell....what a bunch of idiots....
