Everyone raves mine so it ought to go over good...I also use red potatoes.
Preheat oven to 375
Thinly sliced potatoes
butter (margarine)
milk
flour
salt
pepper
paprika
cheese (optional)
Spray casserole dish with Pam. Layer potatoes dabbing with bits of butter. Sprinkle salt, pepper and paprika and cheese(if used) on each layer. Use as many potatoes you would like. For each cup of milk, mix in a tablespoon of flour, some salt and pepper. Pour over potatoes. The milk should just about cover the potatoes. Put foil under the dish before baking in case of spills. Cover dish with foil so it cooks the potatoes though. Bake at least 60 mins and then remove the foil cover and bake another 30 mins so it browns. The more milk you use the creamier they come out. These potatoes go excellent with anything...especially baked pork chops! I use an ez foil pan so there is no cleanup!

Here you are. This is a proportional recipe, no precise measurements. Also, the milk/flour mixture can be adjusted for the weather.
Two or three potatoes per serving
1/8 pound of sharp cheddar cheese per serving
chopped onion (green onions would look so pretty with the reds)
flour
salt & pepper
Scrub and gouge eyes and discolored parts of potatoes. Slice. Layer with cheese and onion in deep covered casserole with dusting of flour, salt and pepper. Pour in enough milk to just cover. Stir well.
Bake at 350 degrees F for about one hour, stirring every so often or microwave for 30 to 35.
Enjoy!
