Speak to Merc themselves, main dealers have the ability to do it themselves and its covered by warranty.
My friend has a slk and merc updated the car in house and up'd the power by 80bhp. Scottish branch near Newbridge, was about 2yrs ago though!

Try the junkyard. They cost allot less than new. Never heard of a Petrol.

its not actually a chip they just re-program the ecu by plugging a laptop into it and changing the power curve . it could be done by anyone who can do diagnostics or engine mapping
