You'll be fine. It doesn't sound like you took more than the recommended dosage of the Ibuprofen or OD'd on alcohol. They don't recommend ibuprofen with alcohol because it can irritate the liver. Consistent use of ibuprofen with alcohol can cause liver damage.

Ibuprofen And Alcohol

Yes, but don't make a habit of it. The interactions of medications and alcohol are dangerous and unpredictable. People do drink and take an occasional pain reliever with no problems, but then you can get killed just crossing the street.

Since alcohol and all medications go through the liver when taken together they only magnify the problem. If there is any liver damage, then the will accelerate that damage. For strong health reasons you need to avoid drinking alcohol if you are taking any kind of medication. If you only take a few drinks on holidays (not a social drinker) then you could get away with it, but you are taking a risk to your health.

I cannot tell you if you will be okay or not. Life is too unpredictable. But alcohol and ibuprofen do not interact. However, they are both irritating to the stomoch, so eat a meal.

You will be ok. You should not take ibuprofen if you drink on a regular basis. The combination of the two damages the liver. Read the label on the bottle it tells you not to take it if you consume so many drinks in a week. Merry Christmas and I hope the pain goes away.

Probably. Don't do it again. Ibuprofen may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or blurred vision. Alcohol may intensify these effects and increase the risk of accidental injury. Use of alcohol during ibuprofen therapy increases the risk of stomach irritation and bleeding. People taking ibuprofen should avoid alcohol.
