Apfelkuchen....well I would suggest a sparklingwine from Germany like Deinhard or else Henkell Trocken!

Personally, I hate Freixenet. Go with the Bellini's.

I would not choose a sparkling wine with that type of pastry. Too much sugar. I would serve a Moscato or a Sauternes dessert wines. Better acidity, better balance. Just my taste.
