I think that religions are our way of getting closer to what we don't understand. They're made up by humans so they're never going to be spot on. Unfortunately, a lot of people think that their religion is the one true one and that everyone else is wrong. There would probably quite a few less problems in the world if people could admit that no one can prove which religion is true (if any). I think that each person just needs to find what makes the most sense to them and try to respect the fact that other people disagree.

There is only one God and it is the scientists who describe the presence of God through understanding the laws of nature and physics.
God is not moral or immoral, neither good nor evil, light nor dark. God is everything in existence and cannot be anything else. Omnipitent and omnipotent but not human-like. We attach human qualities to God and thus being limiting in our understanding of God.
God makes animals kill each other, makes people born afflicted, makes people love, smashes comets into planets, creates solar systems and galaxies and makes us have minds that can create concepts and ideas.
God is the forces of nature and beyond full human comprehension until we understand 'everything' and how it interacts with everything else.
God is photosynthesis, quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, psychic energy, radiation, gravity, emotion and so on. God does not feel sorrow (at our actions) or jealousy, or vengeance as described in some Books. God is not a man or woman, has no sons or daughters sent to Earth. I cannot imagine where from.
Like everything else in nature, God is about simple excellence of purpose, about being the best an entity can be. Survival of the fittest, achieving one's maximum potential. Imagine (another) animal not trying to be the best it could be. The species would die out, and they do. It's God's way that mammals replaced dinosaurs and so on. We invent weapons which may eradicate us before 'nature' intended but that would be God's way as well.
Those who see God through meditation are seeing his essence without the human emotions which tie us to our worldly existence. The desire for wealth, fame, recognition, acceptance and so on prevent us from seeing God. I understand why some give away worldly posessions to seek God. God does not need your thanks and praise, humans want that type of thing.
Morality is man made but it is essential for the development of society and is not 'sent' from God through prophets & priests. It's just part of our social evolution.
What of karma, Heaven & Hell, special and general relativity and so on? No observable forces are outside of God.
Being Godly is about achieving the 'highest' human qualities like trying to get the highest grades if you're studying, catching more bad guys if you're in law enforcement, creating a new theory if you are a scientist, training harder if your an athlete etc. Gaining knowledge and understanding of different peoples and different ways is Godly.
Strip away the dogma from religion and if any spituality remains, there may be found God

2:255 Allah. There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).
112:1-4 SAY: "He is the One God: "God the Eternal, the Uncaused Cause of All Being."He begets not, and neither is He begotten; "and there is nothing that could be compared with Him.

Each religion has a piece of it that could be right. And it's only after we die, that maybe everything is brought together like a pie and we discover how each piece fits. Its humans that have the judgemental eyes, to which divides things. Not trying to offend anyone, just throwing out a different way of thought. Not one is entirely right or wrong, but all have a piece of the story that leads to what I feel is the bigger picture.

Man invents religions. No God ever invented a religion. I believe there may be a God in the Universe, but it isn't anything like the Gods we have invented. We invent what we want it to be, not what it probably is.

I believe in God...but as far as religions go, I feel that they all have some grains of truth to them. However I don't believe in absolute certainties or the territorial/egotistic practices of many organized religions.

Christ is the truth of God's Word.
Christ is the life eternal.
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Me and from the attitudes of the majority of religious people on here ( Christians being by far the worst ) it`s obvious that if they think it`s the way to Heaven they`re deluding themselves .What happened to turning the other cheek .
