The best prayers as spontaneous thoughts that come from the heart. Write a short list of things that you are truly thankful for or things or people who really need or deserve God's blessing then incorporate them into a sincere conversation between you and God. I would start "Jehovah, I want to thank you for gathering my family safely together on this special occasion...."

The best prayer is not one of already chosen words, but a heartfelt prayer. One that is honest and one that is backed up with faith/belief. Ask the Lord for what your family needs, whatever it may be, and believe that He has the power to do it. Don't worry about big words, just talk to Him like He's your best friend. May not happen immediately, but if you believe, He will answer.

The ones that come from your heart. Let your thoughts be sincere. And not those of another.
Prayer should not be repetitious. Matt 6:7 " When praying, do not say the same things over and over again. Please let your prayers be sincere and reflect what you and your family are feeling or dealing with at that time. John 3:22 "What ever we ask we receive from him because we are observing his commandments are doing the things that are pleasing in his eyes".

There are some good prayers in Psalms for every occassion.
When your sad or depressed. I think it was originally a song book. But it has some very moving prayers in it.
Pick out some to read to yourself or your friends when you just don't know what to say in a prayer.

Father, in the name of Jesus I thank you for preserving me and my family during this holiday season. I thank you for keeping us safe with a roof over our heads, and food to eat. I pray you continue to bless us and everyone in need for Christmas and the upcoming New Year in Jesus name, Amen/Amen.

Heavenly Father, I praise and thank you for peace in my home and for my family at this special time of the year. I celebrate your love and goodness towards us and for all mankind. Thank you Lord for being such a wonderful blessing to me and my family.
In Jesus name, Amen/Amen.

Thank you Lord for our family and friends at Christmas, and thank you for keeping us the whole year through. You are so wonderful and kind and we appreciate your unconditional love towards us always. In Jesus name, Amen.

These are just a few samples but you should use your own words from the heart as you're lead to do so.

Peace,

Hope

Just pray from your heart, what ever you can think of .
First thank God, then ask him for the things you need .

None, prayers are a waste of time. Haven't you heard that patients prayed for remotely actually did WORSE than other patients?

Just thank God for being good to you and your family. Pray as if you were talking to Him, because you are!
