a Yorkie they are so love able they hug you and make great companions and they dont shead

I had a yorkie for 14 years and a shih tzu for 16 years . Both dogs make excellent pets.

It depends what you like and what fits your life style. I like the Yorkie but i don't dislike the shih tzu. I prefer the Yorkie but i still like shih tzu if you got a shih tzu get a black or brown they gray kinda go ugly when they get old. Also shih tzu faces get stinky!!! The Yorkie's are so cute. You can get them in a tea cup style too. If i got a yorkie i would name it Maggie. Or if you can't make up your mind you can get a mix between the two.

My Shih-Tzu is nine years old and she is not moody, in fact she is a pleasant girl to have around. She has a full coat that does require brushing once a week but with the right brush it isn't a difficult job.
She is my third Shih-Tzu so I highly recommend them if you prefer a smaller dog as a family pet and they are great with children, however; be nice to them. You can break a dogs confidence and character by miss treating them or you can make them a truly great companion by being a responsible owner.
I recommend my absolute favourite if you are looking for a larger dog, the "German Shepherd" a true companion, devoted loyalty and they want to be with you all day where ever you go they are there.
Both dogs any dog needs to be trained and socialised with other animals and children, you owe it to yourself and your dog so every body likes them and they like everybody.

u should het a yorkie. shih tzu's hair is too long. u'll have dog hair all over your house.
