It would depend on what you would be wanting to achieve. To blow dry straight or to add volume a small barrel round boar bristle brush would be good. To dry quickly and with direction a smaller vent brush would work. A denman brush would be a good basic brush to use as well. Never brush wet hair, always use a comb.

i would say one of those cylinder shaped brushes i forget what they are called but they reduse poof and friz, it works for me!
