What is your opinion on proactiv? Does it really work?

Question

Sure, I've seen the Jessica Simpson commercials and it looks good, but will it irritate my skin? My skin is sensitive, but not super sensitive. I know its at walmart, target n stuff, but is it really worth buying? I have tried Biore, and its worked, but i want something better... is there anything you would reccomend? I used to have minor blemishes, and they are gone now, but i would like to prevent it from coming again. N proactiv has many products out, so which one should i use? Help much appreciated. :)

Yes Proactiv work AT FIRST & it will stop working once you stop using it! You must keep using Proactiv for the rest of your life (which WILL make you bankrupt) in order to make the acne don't come back!! For some people, even if they keep using it, acne will come back! This time it's even WORST!!

I tried Proactiv because I couldn't clear up my acne well. But Proactiv never worked for me. All it did was dry my skin and made my skin look old and wrinkly. I used Proactiv for a month. NOTHING. Up until today, I havent used proactiv in 2 months, and my skin looks way better than it did using proactiv. But some people say proactiv works for them, and I dont know about you. My skin is pretty sensitive, which was probably why proactiv irritated my skin. But everybody has different skin.

I worked for a call center taking orders for proactive......believe me i have heard everything from people who can not live without it to people who HATE it cuz it made their face worse.The best advice i can give you is really follow the directions and do not use too much of anything.If the cleanser says use only a dime size then that is ALL you use otherwise your face will be irritated.I tried proactive myself,i didn't have acne) but the next day i had at least 6 big acne spots on my face!!!!! It did not work for me at all!Another thing is once you start using it then you stop....your acne will come right back...which is not good.I would look for something else!!

I know 3 people that use the stuff, all of which had "bad skin" before using it. Now, all three of them have the best skin out of all my friends, and I know I sound like a commercial, but its true. You should know, though, that I don't use it because certain skin types - it does nothing for. I'm one of them. My skin is fine as is, just the one or two blemishes every month (I hate being a GIRL SOMETIMES!!! egh) anyway- it works for some, but not for others. I'd recommend trying it though.

I used to have really bad acne so I tried proactive but it made my skin really dry, and I hated doing all the steps to it. I started using Mary Kay's 3 in 1 cleanser and withing about two weeks my skin was starting to look so good I literally wanted to cry because I found something that worked for me. Proactiv iz a very helpful because i use it everyday and night ive been using proativ for about seven months and it really cleared up my skin tremenously . You should call the People up and ask for a 30 day trail if you dont like it dont use it anymore. The trail includes a renewing cleanser, revitalizing toner ,and Repairing Lotion. (Its only a 30 day trail so it will b in small size bottles)

I tried proactiv it didn't really work for me. I was told by a dermatologist that most of those products have benzoyl peroxide which just dries the skin out what is needed is cyclic acid or a product that has this main ingredient.

Proactiv worked for my cousin, but it didn't work for me or my sister.

If you have just a few pimples and blackheads, (Not a horror story case) then stick with Biore.

If it's bad try looking at Acne.org. I tryed their regimen for a brief time and it worked, I just got overly dryed out, so I stopped using it daily. I wasn't following its directions to the T though, so you might have better luck.

If you want to try Proactiv. It might work for you, if it doesn't you can always send it back and get a refund.

Its not for everyone. My friend tried it, and he returned it after a few weeks because it wasnt helping at all.

Oxy works fine on me, its an over the counter treatment.
