if using tea leaves, get the water to a full boil. remove the pot from the heat and let it sit until it calms down. that's about 10-20 seconds. add leaves to water for 3-5 minutes depending on how strong you want it. remove leaves to the side. you can use tea leaves 2-3 times. this is only for black tea varieties, not green tea.

Basically it means soaking the tea in boiling or very hot water. Whether it's in a tea bag form, or loose leaves, once the tea is soaking (or steeping) in the water, it is brewing. To stop brewing the tea, you can remove the tea bag or the tea leaves. You can also leave the tea leaves in the water, like in a tea pot. In this form, it's usually drank fast enough so that you can add more water to the tea kettle, and make another batch. Then, you are brewing once again.

All wrong
Teapot - one spoon of tea for each person to be served and one for the pot.
Water should be boiled but not boiling, pour over tea leaves and leave to brew till desired strength.

oh I drink green tea but then sometimes when I make green milk tea bubble tea I just pour boiling water into a shaking thing about just about a quarter way up and then drop the tea bag in there for a bit and then add 1 teaspoon of honey and fill the cup with milk and a little bit of cream close the shaking cup and shake it for 5 minutes or so (very vigorously) then pour into a cup and add tapioca pearls
you don't need tapioca pearls its optional
TADA it tastes really good and there is no sugar and artificial colour in it
if you want to make it more thick and creamy instead of cream add some whipped cream just without shaking the can

I was always told not to boil the water. I heard that it should be just about to boil, then you put the leaves in it. I don't know the science behind it though.
