toyota says that they are going to start manufacturing their 2008 rav4 in ontario. i was just wondering will the prices go down because they wont need to import the vehicles from japan?

It all depends on how competitive the company wants to be. The price of a vehicle is often affected more by market forces than by costs. But, in Toyota's case, they often like to try to lead the way in competition, so it's possible. It's also possible that the savings will be offset by increases in steel and other commodities, so while they may become more competitive, you might not see an actual drop in their price, just less of an increase.

no the price will probably go upü because they are not importing the car but most of the parts and putting it together in ontario...

i work at WV in germany and the prices are not going down for anything not here and not there.....
