Why is it impossible to buy decent black bread in the US?

Most bread here is of the pre-cut toaster variety. How come no bakeries have started making European style black bread? It can't be for a lack of ingredients...

It is the flour,of course, and the mill. The best loaf is based on the baker.What would be the fun of telling you where to get a decent black bread, it's funner to complain, anyway in the whole US, well, all up and down, everywhere and not a loaf of decent black bread is a crime.What is decent black bread, and compared to where? Give me pumpernickel, or give me death, i live for brown bread in a can, and will die with a tortilla for emphasis. get your own black flour, then make your own black bread, stay away from anything that looks machine made, that tells you, your baker loves money more than bread

Theres a family members run bakers in Wickford Essex, that sells astounding black crusty bread, and their crusty rolls are stunning, approximately 3 generations of guys from the same family members very own the save, and that i think of they'd desire to bypass the secret recipe down the line to a minimum of one yet another. Its the terrific bread I even have ever tasted.

If the public isn't CLAMORING for it, especially in a BIG country like ours, it doesn't get made. Since it's basically pumpernickel bread, only without wheat, coffee or molasses, why not buy THAT?

You never seen my ex make toast. She made that good and black. Well the good part is taking it a little to far I guess.

But she did treat me like a God. She gave me burnt offerings for every meal.
