How long will it take for a 5-6 pound frozen duck to thaw in the refrigerator?

I'll clarify - it has been there for two days already and is only just starting to soften up.

what you can do to speed up the process is wrap the turkey in plastic (if it isnt already) and then put it in a hot tub of water inside the refrigerator and every few hours change the water.

I would give it at least 24 hours, give lots of space around it and don't put it in a deep pot.
