I completely refuse to believe that Jesus (peace and blessings of God be upon him) said that he's the only way to eternal life. If your "proof" comes from the Bible, I'll totally disbelieve it further because the Bible is NOT God's exact words---- remember people have changed it over time, and there are MANY versions of it, so who's to believe what? Some Christians believe Jesus is a God!!! (May God protect us all from believe such an obvious lie!) Others don't believe that. Some believe Jesus is God's son--- may God protect us all from believing another obvious lie like that. God is too exalted for such a thing!! But anyway, so Jesus (peace be upon him) was one of God's MANY innocent, righteous, pure worshippers whom God blessed to be revealed to thier people as Prophets/messengers (may God have mercy upon all of them, and may all of them be in peace). Jesus taught the SAME thing that ALL other prophets before (and the one, Muhammad, after him) taught: Believe in the pure ONENESS of God, don't worship ANYONE but God ALONE, do good deeds, avoid all sorts of evil, stand up for justice and peace, and other good things like that. He never said he's the only way to eternal life. I do believe, however, that he said that anyone who does not accept his message of God's ONENESS (NOT that he's God or God's son!!! Never!) will not be accepted by God to eternal peace. Jesus himself told people to believe in God and God alone, and the concept of Trinity is NOWHERE in the Bible, so it's about time people started searching for the truth, and Trinity is NOT among the truth that God has revealed to mankind.
May alll readers and thier friends and families and other loved ones be guided to the Right Path that God considers Perfect. Aameen.

Yes I do! I heard the gospel, and I received it with great joy! We have all sinned against God as Romans 3:23 says and we all need a Saviour, which is Jesus Christ- that is why He died on the cross, so that those who believe will live for eternity in heaven. It is through the shedding of blood that sins are forgiven, as it says in Acts...and Jesus was that one sacrifice, God made a way for us to be with him- for those who believe in Him, and that is ONLY through Jesus Christ- when you believe in what He did and repent of sin, you will be set free and forgiven---as He says "I am the only way, truth and life and no one comes to the Father but through Me" John 14:6
He has revealed this to me, and continues to reveal the truth to me as I study His word and see Him work in my life...God changes the hearts of people, and it is amazing! Sometimes it is almost supernatural! To see a sinner, who is so far into sin, become cleansed through Jesus and living for Him...putting their trust in Him and understanding why Jesus did what He did....
God is aweomse!

No proof for me.

I mean, back in the day he allegedly did some wild stuff. Multiplying loaves and fishes had to be a seriously impressive catering trick. Turning water into wine was also awesome, although the BATF would tax anyone doing that here in the U.S.

Healing people was pretty kickass too, as was bringing dead people back to life. I don't know if the A.M.A. would try to nail him for practicing medicine without a license, though. Would the morticians' unions be irked that he cost them business?

No reason to worry about any of that now. Modern miracles...hmm, let's see. Every now and then someone sees an image of the Virgin Mary in a grilled cheese sandwich.

What is it with this guy and food?

Short answer: No. There is no satisfactory proof for me. If there's a God who wants me to believe, he knows my limitations because he created me...and he knows what it'll take to get me to change my views.

Hint: Grilled cheese sandwiches, while tasty, ain't it.

As a historical figure this is probably someone to emulate, however, he was dead buried and dust centuries ago.
He no longer speaks, thinks or cares what happens. It is time for humanity to realize that we are finite;what we do in this world
and the memories we leave behind are the only imortality living
creatures have available to them. Look around; do something to make the world better. The children to be born are our legacy. They do NOT deserve to be saddled with all the old superstitions
that are designed to sever the ties between people. It,religion,
any of them only divides people int US and THEM. Wake up
and breathe free.

The wages of sin is death.
The gift of God is eternal life.
Only God can bestow the gift of eternal life.
Jesus is the Only Way to the Father...there can be no eternal life without Him.
Yes, I believe Him....

They say he said that. But he never actually wrote anything himself. Years after he died they commenced to create a legend for him, and part of it included the thing about eternal life. The whole saga is mixed up and convoluted, don't even try to understand it.

Need to get your facts correct.

Here is what Jesus said...

John 14:6 (KJV) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

As for why...

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

As for you...

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

You have to serve somebody...

Matthew 6:24 -- "no man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve god and mammon."

Whom is it you serve?

Yes - because there can only be one truth, not one for every person.
I believe Jesus said this because he is the truth and wanted us to know the truth.
