What does it mean if a guy goes to hug you and he hugs you kind of sideways. Like his arms wraped around me sideways.

Maybe he was hard and didn't want you to feel it. Or it could be like a
"non-interested, i-like-you-as-a-friend" hug

You're interested in him, huh? If you weren't, you wouldn't bother with asking what a hug meant, now would you? If you don't like him, you want him to like you.
A sideways hug doesn't really mean anything unless it's between a couple. Then it could be an inside joke, a simple display of affection, or anything like that.

Hes kind into you but he does not know how to show it, or maybe that is just how he hugs, but it is kind of not the right way to hug! Hahah!

A friendly hug...though it depends on the circumstance. Maybe he was in an environment that didn't allow him to show his emotions. So if you are in to him. dont lose hope

He might be worried that you may read more into it. Then again he may be scared if he hugs u from the front he might have a reaction.

It doesn't really mean anything, i mean it could be your just a friend and thats how he thinks of you but from the sounds of it, it doesnt mean anything

It depends on the circumstances. Ask him. "Hey ... what kind of hug was that?" ... in whatever tone you choose.

he sucks at huggin. i hate it when guys do that. i tell they suck at huggin and need to give me a hug rite then they hug me rite and its much better. lol. but mayb u shuld try that
