Approxmately 4000years is correct. Adam lived 930 years, and his children lived longer than that. Not to mention their children and so forth. Then there were the Nephilum, the flood that wiped them from the Earth, Moses and the idol worshipers, the 10 commandments, and keeping in mind that all of these people lived hundreds of years. In fact, there were many people of the Bible that were born , lived for hundreds of years, and died before Jesus, The Word of God, was born. This all took at least 4000 years.

There is around 4000 t0 5000 years by genealogies. If there are skips, then maybe 20,000 years. But Jesus was around at the time of creation.... He created the universe, so this is about 13.5 billion years ago, a long time before the earth existed.

the 2nd verse you quoted suggestions the question and explains the 1st. Jesus Christ replaced into the in the previous each and every thing creation, God's in person-friendly words begotten Son. pondering the shown fact that Colossians a million:sixteen says that any one themes have been created via way of and for him, he worked beside his Father indoors the creation of the heavens and the earth, the universe. As God's Son, he too replaced into created via way of God, so Genesis a million:a million isn't incorrect, God did quite create the heavens and the earth.

well I really don,t know because when God created heaven and earth and Adam they were all perfect, then a long came Eve and blew the whole thing for a apple but we don,t know how long all that lasted,I do know all the really evil thing,s happened in the old testament and Jesus was born in the new testament as a matter of fact the new testament is all about how Jesus came into the world and why, maybe you should look it up in the bible.

As there are no dates listed in the scriptures for when creation happened, the best anyone can do is guess.
If you follow the genealogy and other clues back, it looks like the creation of Adam happened about 4000 years before the birth of Christ, according to the Bible.

Many bible scholars believe the "in the beginning, God created" in Genesis could be interpreted "recreated". This would account for archaeological findings with ages ranging in the billions of years.

Four thousand years. So everything is 6 thousand years old. So how come there were dinosaurs a hundred million years ago? It just ain't right. The dinosaurs should not have been here, and so they went extinct.
