ok, so i've been having a real cashflow problem recently. which has been harsh seeing as its pressent season! but - i managed to get everyone's presents. except my parents. so i went out yesterday with £9 and got them these strange book things. looking now it was a stupid idea but i didnt know what else to get and i think they're gonna hate them. they dont know im having a problem with money either!

They are your parents and will Love whatever you get them. If you are so sure that they will hate the book things then why not make them something. Try putting into words how much you Love them and how much they have taught you and how much you appriciate all they do and have done for you. I think gifts from the heart are the BEST ones!!(they will understand if you let them know you are a little stapped for cash right now.)

In our family, the money issue is not the real deal, as the season is about family. Can you handmake something for your parents really quickly? Or, maybe if you have a little money left, could you get them a nice box of chocolates, or a festive tin of German cookies, or a bouquet of flowers for your Mom? Flowers are cheap, always nice, and go over great with most Moms. Don't worry about the shortage of funds right now. I'm sure things will look better in the new year. Good luck to you!

They are your parents. I don't think they'd expect a new car or anything from you. My mom is always appreciative of anything I give her because it's the thought that counts. Too many people get Christmas messed up and think they have to give presents and forget the real meaning. It was the day Jesus was born. I'm sure your parents will love anything you give them just for the simple fact it came from you. It's the thought that counts.

Well first off iam 11 but theres one thing i no and that parents dont care what you get them as long as you think of them and i no your probably gonna say oh ya ya that just what they tell kids but christmas is not about giving presents its about thinking of the people you love more then anything!! so dont stress

All you can do is your best, as you know your cash flow situation. Since they are your parents i assume that the ( Strange Book Things ) is some thing you know that they would like.
For you know your parents likes and dislikes, so armed with that knowledge, you are the best person to know what you can get them. It is the though that counts as well as doing your best in your current situation.

It's the thought that counts, and ALLL parents know that. When you get something--ANYTHING--for your parents, it takes their breaths away. Just give them whatever you have got for them, and they'll appreciate it. If you wish, you may tell your parents that you'd have gotten them something much, MUCH better but couldn't due to your financial problems. They'll still understand.
Don't worry about what they--or anyone you get gifts for--will think about the gift you give them.

Your parents love and care about u they will love what ever u get them even if the gift u get them is a crappy one! so tell them about ur problem that u hoped to get them better presents but u couldnt because of ur finacial problems. but my question to u is why would u get everyone else's presnets before getting ur parents? they would be the furst ppl that i would get my presnets for. but if u tell ur parents im sure they will understand and accpet the gift after all its the meanign that trully counts rite? anyway good luck and happy holidays

It's the though that counts tell them about your problem,they might help.Tell them that the books is all u could find cause u did some last minuet shopping.

it doesmt matter how much you pay for anything or what it is its the thought that counts and they will love whatever you get them theyll understand about the money [roblem if u just tell them but dont worry about the presents theyll love it !
