We should assume that Santa comes to each part of the world during the time at which people are least active; this is probably around 2:00 to 3:00 in the morning. This means that at 3:00 in the morning of Christmas Eve, in the timezone just east of the International Date Line, Santa has already started giving out presents. If your grandson is in London, then Santa probably started delivering at about 2:00 in the afternoon on Christmas Eve.

Merry Christmas, everybody!

Santa started his work at 12pm in New Zealand and some South Pacific islands where it was 12am, they are 12 hours ahead of us. He then works his way eastward. The last place to see Santa would be Hawaii, 10 hours behind us. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

NASA follows Santa around the world every Christmas Eve. Santa has also helped them to test the new control tower at the Kennedy Space Centre in 2003.

This link goes to the NASA HSF page. The second link is to Santa and Astronaut Cathy.

May the blessings of Christmas be with you and everyone.

Most of the main evening news programmes on all the major tv channels will report Santa's progress at the end of the show... at least in Ireland they do...

Big advantage, kids get bored silly watching the news and get drowsy by the end of it!!!
