I have been in love with this girl for sometime now.

Anyway, I am totally in love with this girl. The thing is, I am in love with here mainly because she is very beautiful to me. I'm not talking about her body, or sexually. She is very attractive to me because she is beautiful to me. Anyway, I have spoken with this girl and we get a long good but do not have many things in common, and we really don't know each other well, but I am totally attracted to her physically. When ever I see her I feel deep attraction, caring and love for her.

Well, there is another girl. I am not attracted to her physically. But we get a long great and have many things in common.I think she even likes me, but I'm just not attrated to her physically and I'm not interested in her romantically.

So here is the paradox. If God is a spirit and we are suppose to be spiritual people, Why did he wire us so that we would be mainly attracted by the physical? I wish I could be blind in love, but I can't.

From what i understand God didnt "wire" us or program us to be or act in any certain way. He didnt give you your personality or traits, you develop those on your own. He gave mankind free-will. Free-will to like what you like and to dislike other things. Free will to live a good life or live a life of evil. Its up to you.
Thus, God didnt program you to like certain girls and not other girls.

What agreat question!
We have to learn to have wisdom - to see more than the physical, which attraction is wonderful - but into your to hearts.
Love between a man and woman is designed by God to last a lifetime - which means beyond the physical attraction and into two lives that will sacrificially support and share.
Read First Corinthians 13 and make that your guideline - not neccesarily romance, and you will find the kind of true love that God wants for you and the woman you will share your life with.
And do not compromise that you two should always have God as the three cord strand - with him always in the middle.

All I can say is life on earth is meant to be hard. The Bible says we must all have our share of sorrows. Looking inside is something we have to work at. In time you will know that inside everyone is absolutely beautiful and our bodies are not the real us. Our spirits inside our bodies are beautiful in every way. Becoming a spiritual person takes time and work.
As for love, I fell in love in like a few minutes with this beautiful girl, inside and out, and I have been for the past 5 years. It just happened all of a sudden like I was hit with cupid's arrow or something. I haven't figured that one out yet.

Love is a daily choice not a feeling you have in your pants. The reason you are wired that way is because you are still to immature to deal with true love. To top it off, you are playing the victim and trying to blame God. This "spiritual people" junk... where did you get that? You are flesh and blood. Wait a few years before jumping into love.

There is an old German proverb:
Love don't last
But good cooking does
What you see as physical attraction is nothing but lust. Lust, the meaning of 'Love' in the proverb doesn't last, but true love does and true love isn't just the physical, but what is inside of another person you know well and like as a friend. Either get to know the one who is attractive, or learn to love the other one. I hope both of them can cook, as that last line of the proverb is also true.

Perhaps because no matter what you do, you can either justify it as God's will or punish yourself in any number of ways dictated by your all-loving God.

We're animals with cell phones, nothing more. You're having fun with your hypothalamus, Junior, and it's the way we're built.

OK, how about this- if God, the "perfect" being, made you with these feelings, then doesn't that mean you're supposed to have them?

I don't see a paradox. Appearances take milliseconds to have an impact on your thinking, spiritual qualities take weeks or years to ascertain. Would you rather be blind? Sight is a filter, nothing more.

for one thing......looks is not TRUE LOVE....the reason for u asking is because of the CARNAL=HUMAN side of you for physically attraction....the spirit side of you knows better......don't worry over it..do what ur Heart tells you. but i need to say this also, you say the 1st girl, that you are totally in LOVE with??? if you are totally in love with her, then the 2nd girl doesn't exsist. that's true love. forme? i would be with the one that i say..I'm in Love with....goodluck.
MERRY CHRISTMAS & GOD BLESS

You are not loving her for the Sake of God, but rather like her appearance because it is lustful to you. He is testing us to who will do what regarding this difficult choice, I would choose the girl who is most chaste, and pure.
