Are there any people who found themselves restless in dating, happily moving from relationship to relationship thinking that they would want to settle down with one person later in life? Did that urge to settle down with one person ever happen or did you just happily keep dating? Why do you think you didn't want to settle down? What have the been the reprecussions for you?

I'd like to have settled down earlier but was always afraid of the commitment to one person. I thought if I got really serious and settled down, and then later it didn't work out, it would be very painful/traumatic to both of us.
But because of that, I now find myslef alone, but dating. The dating is fun, but I'm growing a little tired of it. I think if I had settled down with this one particular woman I went out with for a couple of years, I might be more stable and happy, and have started a family.
You have to be ready for these things, though. It takes a lot of responsibility, commitment, etc. In the end, it's more difficult and challenging to make long relationships work, but it's also much more rewarding, I think, because it can lead to things like family and deeper understanding/contentment/love.

Happy and secure enough in yourself,and probably not meeting the right person,its much better to be like that,than just settle down with someone for the sake of it.I have admiration for people who dont feel the need to be settled down

It's funny, but I made the decision to date for dating's sake anymore. You have to think about this...do want to have a boyfriend/husband, or do you want to be in love with someone who is in love with you? Dating is fun sometimes, but it's even more rewarding if its with the right person!
