someone was selling drugs and children were involved, i called to report it and i would like to know if they have taken action. this was in dallas and i am in another state now.

The particulars of the call will not be public information. If any enforcement action was taken, you can file an open records request under the Freedom of Information Act and get any available information from the case report. The agency will not release anything relative to the case until after it goes to trial.

You will not be able to find out. Simple as that. First, it's really not your business what happened to the people if they were caught, and second, you will only be given information if your are pulled into court to testify. Drug convictions are unlikely to waste money flying you in to testify.

You could always call the police that you reported them to for a follow up on it.

Look up their local paper online and look for local drug bust

please do not expect them to take actions. there is strong possibility that cops themselves are involved in this. you got to remember that most of the cops are corrupted in this country.
what you need to do is contact the FBI who can futher look into this matter. do not trust cops.
