I was eating chips and my teeth felt a bit painful. So i went to rinse out my mouth. there is one teeth, and it feels like there might be a dent/hole of something on its side. After rinsing my mouth, it feels fine now. It isn't painful when i pick at the tooth hole. I used to get cavities as a child, but i haven't got cavities recently. Its not painful at all.

If there's a dent or a hole it's probably a cavity. Go to your dentist and have them check it out. And if it is a cavity, get it filled before it gets worse. I had three cavities and never felt pain. So just because there's no pain doesn't mean they can't be cavities.

if you think its a dent/hole then u better visit ur dentist ! if you are not feeling any pain now but u still think its hole then u better not just sit and wait for the pain to start .There is no harm in visiting the dentist for the checkup if its a cavity for sure he'll fill it n if its not then no harm.Don'T wait for the pain to start ! because then you wil have to go thru more complicated tooth procedures

if you have a hole on the tooth it is probably a cavity and if it hurts when is in contact with food,sensitive to hot or cold you probably have a case of pulpitis (inflammation of the pulp) that is caused by the exposure of the pulp thought the cavity. i will recommend you to visit your dentist you probably will need a filling and most likely a root canal.
