Jesus Christ!

God had to protect the lineage of Jesus Christ. If he hadn't, Satan could easily have destroyed that lineage which would have made God a liar by his prophecies not coming true. Since Jesus' sacrificial death, however, God no longer needs to protect Jesus' earthly lineage. That being the case, Jesus preached peace, love and happiness to those following him because that's how life was originally meant to be and that's the way God wants his people to behave. At a future time God will take action on behalf of true Christians. According to scripture, the earth will be returned to peaceful, paradisaic conditions as they were meant to be, and those who choose not to live in harmony with God's will (including Satan and his demons) will be removed from the earth so that those who do chose to live by God's standards and submit to his authority will have peace and the prospect of living forever on the earth as Adam and Eve and their offspring would have done had they not sinned.

Well, I would say that man had evolved along enough so they didn't have to be hit on the head anymore and he could quite hitting other people on the head.. When the law was fulfilled thru Christ, man was given the ability to contact God directly and given the strength through his spirit to be loving and intelligent enough to do what is right without the law. I believe the people in the old testament may have been quite primitive else why did they have to be told to take their waste outside the camp and bury it

Nothing changed, it was God's perfect will in action.
Did you know that the New Testament talks more about sin, judgment and death than the Old Testament does?

Moreover, the Old Testament is a picture of New Testament truths, with Jesus Christ being at the center of every word.

Merry Christmas!

The Lord Jesus Christ came to earth as a man so He could die for our sins. He offers salvation to all that would believe and trust in that. Before that they were under the law but when Israel had him killed He turned to all that would believe. Philippians 2: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Philippians 2: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: Philippians 2: 8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Wasn't a change. Only thing that changed was time and our point of view of specific events on that time line.

Old Testament points to Christ's coming. New Testament is about his arrival.

And last time I checked, Revelation is in the New Testament and it includes a lot of "throwing mountains on people and destroying".

God became a man in Christ Jesus and was the fulfillment of the OT law.
You need to read the Old and New Testament again, I don't think you really understand who God is.

God's mercy and grace are laced throughout both Testaments.

Rebellion and sin bring judgment in both. Sorry, I don't see any inconsistencies.
