YESS!!! the reason your hair is probably poofy is because you wash it twice a day and straighten it, that much work on your hair causes A TON of damage. You should only wash your hair once a day at the MAX, but since u straighten it so much, you should probly cut it down to every other day. If you HAVE to wash it, then maybe just use conditioner the 2nd time, don't shampoo. Make sure you do a deep conditioning treatment once a week and use a protecting spray whenever you straighten it. good luck!

Try washing your hair every other day and just using more straightening creams and things rather than putting so much heat. If your hair is an afro, though, try wearing it curly! My hair is not TOO curly but when I straighten it out, I don't wash it until two days later and I only had to run the straightener through it once. My hair always looks a lot healthier the day after I wash it and a lot dryer the day I do wash it.

hey calm down!!! I straighten my hair 7 days a week too and I just use 'Herbal Essence Dangerously Straight Shampoo and Conditioner' It really does help my hair. If i don't use shampoo and conditioner at least twice a week then you can say bye bye to my healthy hair and hello to split ends. So I don't think it's that damaging if you keep on shampooing and conditioning. Ok?

It's not good to use shampoo twice in a day I've heard and straightening your hair is not good at all! Try using a cream that puts back all the oils that your hair needs.

if you straighten you're hair everyday
it starts to fall out i never knew that until
someone told me after i started doing the same
but my hair is just curly so i dont have much trouble even though i do have my off days but
think that you should get a perm it might be costfull but its worth it
hope I could help â¥

Yeah, it is really bad for you. And i have the same problem as you. My hair is super curly, super thick, and super frizzy. My favorite product to use is a leave in conditioner by garnier fructisse. It keeps my hair together without getting hard and gross. Also, try a curling mousse ( I like V05). Some hairspray helps hold it all day. If worse comes to worse, make sure you have a hair tie, and but your hair in a cute bun. And perhaps letting your hair grow out may help on the afro front. Believe me, I know!

Well all hair except for the very tip is already dead so you can't harm it by using heat to straighten it. You can cause breakage with heat and handling which will make your hair look frizzier than it already is. The only way that straightning would be "unhealthy" is if you are using some sort of chemical and breathing it in, getting it on your skin ect.

Yes, it is very unhealthy. Straightening and washing your hair to much can cause major damage, making your hair look and feel dry and brittle.

wow you are really thrashing your hair by doing that
you should only wash your hair at the mosst every other day because the way your washing it your taking all the natural oil out and drying out your scalp
if you insist that you need to flat iron your hair every day protect it by using an ion stritening serum this will coat you hair and give it some kind of protection
