You can use www.jajah.com, they allow you to speak to any other land line or Mobile for 5 minutes for free all over the world, even if you aren't their member. The down side is once you used that you've to use another PC if you want to call again. Other than that - their system works pretty much the same way as Skype. Free unlimited call PC 2 PC around the world.
For PC 2 PC call go for Skype because now there are phones appearing which has normal land line as well as Skype enabled functions. That means u don't need to turn on ur PC to use Skype to speak to your family and friends over the world. And pretty soon Skype is also adding their services to mobiles phones.

You could Skype (www.skpe.com) or Yahoo Messenger Voice Chat (by downloading the yahoo messenger client, latest version.
Create an ID for either of these and then u can do PC-PC calls.
Other than that, there are several cheap calling cards & cheap cost phone numbers. Search on google for Just Dial & for 0871 numbers.

Heard of skype . If not download skype from skype.com & create an id of yours, ask the person whom you want to speak to do so similarly . After that either of you add your friends id as contact in your contact list on skype , then you can speak to the person free of cost for life , simple isn't it .
