If you want one for a pet, check out a rottie rescue or the humane society. You can find really nice ones and the price includes their shots and spay/neuter.
The best 40 bucks I ever spent was on a second hand dobe from our local pound many years ago. The price has gone up, but it's still a bargain.
He was a wonderful dog. I could never have afforded such a nice dog if I had gone to a breeder or someone with pups as my husband and I didn't have great jobs at the time.

Any vet, your local animal control and SPCA can give you the names and numbers of reputable breeders in your area, as well as rescue groups who specialize in pure breed Rotties.

Well, if you are getting a pure bred Rottweiler, check for ads at the vet's office, in the newspaper, and on the internet. Check at a shelter nearby you and see if they have one. You can also try:
