Mental illness affects a lot of people. Finding the right medications and doctors can be a long journey into a medical nightmare - this I know from experience. There is no easy or fast cure for this aliment.

No one should have to live their life with the black cloud of depression hanging over them. Life is too short not to enjoy it to the fullest.

Depression for long periods of time are not normal and if it's extreme it can be suicidal.

Getting help is so easy and makes life enjoyable again.

no it is not normal, dangerous if you are thinking of commiting suicide. They make so many anti-depressants these days, make an appointment to see your doctor. they really do work.

No , it is not ....good for you.(OK, i won't use "normal", but you know it's not)

I think it seriously affects personality and social relationships.Also, depressed people have suicidal tendencies.
