Ham's too salty for them. I used to buy my dogs big soup bones from the grocery store. They will sit for hours gnawing on those things. The bone marrow and calcium they get from the bones are good for them too. Just remember to NEVER give them chicken, rib, or other bones that tend to sliver. They can choke on them and can cause extensive internal injuries. Several days ago I answered a question from a guy who was contstantly giving raw chicken and its bones to a dachsund and could not understand why the dog had blood coming out of its stool and a large lump in its intestinal tract!

A *small amount* of ham as a treat will not be a problem.

If you go overboard you run the chance of getting your dog sick, because it's not used to that type of food.

Yes,dogs can eat ham as long as you don't give them to much. Limit it to two pieces per dog.

You shouldn't feed your dogs table scraps... it's not good for them and you'll regret it later when they're begging all the time! Ham I think is too salty for dogs.

Yes, but not too much - ham's pretty salty which isn't good for them.

A very small amount like a bite or two is fine. But it is very hard for them to digest so I would not give them more than that.
