And I woke up early this morning about 4am and I started shivering and shaking uncontrollably. It went on for about half an hour but it eventually stopped. Is this any cause for concern? I took some Motrin and the fever seems to be going away.

no concern over having chills, it's part of the fever. when you have a fever your body's thermostat is reset to a higher number. if the thermostat says you should be 101 and you are only 98.6 then you shake to get your body temperature up. that's the chills. when you're fever breaks you sweat and that's the opposite process.

that part is not concerning but the reason you are having the fever is. example: if you have just a viral infection, fine, but if you tell me you also are vomitting and having severe abdominal pain you should check that out

You probably just got the chills from the fever. Check your temperature a few times a day to be sure it doesn't go too high, and make sure you drink lots of water to keep yourself hydrated.

Hope you feel better soon!

may have caught a flew. if you feel concerned about then go see your family doctor. try not to go to the ER they have enough trouble with "life threatening" issues.
