Do all officers of the law agree with everything that the president does or will you get in trouble if you voice a opinion that's not the same as the government. (ex. the War.) Just asking because I always wondered how that worked, especially because you guys are supposed to work hand in hand, right?

Okay to Cookie. Why are you so focused on my last questions? I was never stating that George Bush was to blamed for everything I just felt that things could have been dealt with in another way. Please do not judge me and call my questions ignorant just because you don't agree with what I say. I have a right to have an opinion about what's going on just as you do. I was asking a question to the officers because I always wondered that so please if you are not an officer who wants to answer my question without the negativity then don't answer it at all. THank YOu

Just like any career field out there, we as law enforcement have different views and opinions concerning situations and current events. Most law enforcement choose not to make are opinions public because we try to uphold being professional while in uniform and in public. If it were discussed it would be a water cooler type of conversation anyway. As for getting in trouble...no, I do not believe it would happen. Or should I say I have not heard anyone getting in trouble about it.

Law enforcement serves the local govenment.

And as far as your blaming our President for everything...as your last question claims.

Try doing a little research on current events.
It was Condoleezza Rice's [U.S. Secretary of State] brain storm not to send up the chain-of-command the information from the informant that 911 was about to occur.
It was Mayor of New Orleans, Ray Nagin that gave that order NOT to use 2000 school buses that could have saved hundreds of lives.
So....please, before asking your ignorant questions.....do some research....or better yet.....just pick up a newspaper and read it if you can.

Yes....WE do believe in OUR PRESIDENT.
We back him 100%.
Unlike civilians....who are only aware of tidbits of
information, or pick up false information through emails, websites, etc., Our President has more information than you know and is doing everything to protect us and Our Country. As we are sitting here right now playing on our computers....he is aware that there are cells in the U.S. that are still plotting attacks on us. He is aware that there are countries that train their children from birth to hate the U.S. and that as these 'children' grow to adults....they will be living time-bombs that will be utilized against the U.S. It is a shame that Americans are so blind and stupid.

Law enforcement is distributed by municipalities. Our government is built such that power is decentralized. Law enforcement officers are free to have opinions, and their service is largely separate from the federal government
