The oldest known civilisations were in Mesopotamia around Ur 3000 odd years BC. Interestingly enough this is also the place and time of first known beer. Beer starting, civilisation starting, same time, same place: coincidence? I think not.

The earth, unfortunately, doesn't have a date stamp so figuring out how old it is is a bit of a problem. Latest estimates put it at around 4 - 5 billion years.

The oldest known civilizations are the Ancient Egyptians, Aztecs, Mayans... But they also have much older ancestors from the stone and ice ages, so technically, they could have 15-million-year roots.
The earth has no known age. The Big Bang is one of MANY MANY Big Bangs that the Universe could have undergone, and each takes an undeterminable amount of time to go from expand to contract ONCE and, given that it MAY have happened a multitude of times, the Universe therefore is ageless.

So, that said, this earth once was a mere cloud of dust and gases maybe hundreds of centrillions of years ago.

I'm not sure about the oldest civilization, but the earth is about 6000 years old. Seriously. No one has any proof for their dating methods that say things are millions of years old. They have nothing from a million years ago to compare it with. The Bible is proven to be one of the most historicaly acurate books, and it tells us the earth is about 6000 years old.
