There have been many pepole that have saw and acctually talked to them. I think its a little bit weird but why would someone lie? My aunt acctually had a tape and you could see 2 ghosts. It was weird but my question is... Do you believe in ghosts? Why or why not?

First of all, seeing isn't believing. There are so many ways to fake a ghost, especially on film. You need something more..."solid" to verify the existence of ghosts.
At least I do.
Lucky for me, I've had such an experience. So yes, I do believe in ghosts. Try this on for size:
Early in January of 2005, I lost my beloved dog (and familiar) Kristy. My family and I enjoyed her companionship for 7 wonderful years. She was our first and only pet, and we didn't adopt another pet until that September, but this takes place before then. That summer, my fiancé and I were watching the house for my parents while they were away for the weekend. It was evening, and we had both been downstairs on the couch watching TV for the past few hours. I went upstairs to get something from my room, but I stopped. Just outside my door, on the carpet in the hall, was a rounded section of carpet that was matted down, as if something had just been there not long ago. Ironically, it was the same size as Kristy had been when she would curl up to go to sleep. I called my sweetie upstairs so he could see it, and we both felt it. It was WARM. No one was in the house except for us. We checked all the doors and windows and they were all still locked and undamaged.
Tell me that wasn't Kristy. Give me a better explanation. I dare you.

No, as it would require a definition of what a ghost would be? The soul dies with the body, and the spirit of life we share with all forms of life, none being greater than the other.
So, who are the ghostly figures people are talking to? Who gains the most from misleading people, even in the smallest ways?

The souls of departed mortals do not return or communicate with the living...what are seen are spirits of the forces of evil who can mimic the departed...because they know all about mortals...they know all about where grandma buried her stash and where your father hid the family jewels... so they can easely pretend to be whoever they want to be.
