Look in the Yellow Pages for your Births, Marriages and Deaths office.....the one nearest to you, if the person lives in your area. Visit them and they will give you a death certificate if it exists (prob cost abt £6). They will always give out advice too.

you could try phoning the local police non emergency number (for the area the person lived in) and ask to speak with the coronors officer and ask them they may be able to point you in the right direction.

if you contact the local registry of births, deaths and marriages and put the persons details in I am sure that it would tell you but you may have to pay for the information.

you put 'official births marriages and deaths register' in a search engine and can pay electronically to view the results or visit 'births marriages and deaths' office in london to get results.
