She just may enjoy playing with water. Or she may simply be worried about you or just enjoys how you change your scent pre/post shower. Siamese are very affectionate cats.

I live in an old building with really rusty water that we dont drink (neither does my cat) but he loves the tub and the shower. When I turn the shower head on he'll stand there and watch it and also has been known to jump in the shower with me. I'm not sure exactly what the issue is..maybe it has something to do with the mineral or metalic smell...but I know it's not bad. My cat has been doing it since he was a kitten (now he's 1 1/2 years old) and I asked the vet about it and she said he just must have a fascination with it but not to worry. My cat also has a strange personality...I just thought it was that. He likes to sleep in the sink and I catch him dropping plastic cat toys into the toilet...so in my opinion I just think it's a personality quirk of your cat.

What got my attention about your question was the last sentence: "Late at night when I go into the bathroom she hops in the tub and starts crying."
Could your cat have a UTI or a bladder infection? I would watch her toileting habits closely, to see if she is straining when trying to urinate or going to the litter box frequently and peeing only a drop or two.
I've known male cats with bladder infections to exhibit this behavior, and sometimes they will go into the shower or tub because the cool metal feels good when they are feverish or ill.
I don't want to sound like an alarmist or to make a big deal out of what may be just a "cute" behavior, but Iif I were you, I'd keep an eye out for indications that she may be sick.

You cat probably just doesn't like the smell of the sulpher. We don't use well water or anything of the sort but after every shower my cat will come into the bathroom right after I turn off the water and she will start meowing at me.
Your cat is probably trying to tell you that she doesn't think the smell of the sulpher is normal and may be trying to get your attention. I am not sure if you [bleach] your well water or not (I think that's what my aunt has to do because there's is so bad.) but if there is anyway you can try to remove or cover the smell of the sulpher I would recommend experimenting with that and see what happens. A crying kitty, especially at night, isn't pleasurable for anyone.

My male cat does the same thing. A couple of hypothesis: she meows after the shower because she is distressed and has to make sure the Big Bad Water did not hurt you; you come out of the shower without your natural scent and that weirds her out; the hopping in the tub and howling thing is just an attention thing - just for laughs, immitate her meow back to her and see how she reacts.

Really don't know what to tell you about this. Just today, one of my cats jumped in the empty tub when I was using the toilet. I have never seen him do that before, but he jumped right back out when I sat down because he thinks that's his time to get attention from me. I'd ask your vet to see if they can give you any answers about this. I have read stories where some dogs will go into the shower when their guardians are taking one. I wish my cats would do this to help me bathe them since I'm on disability. Would save me a lot of back pain.

She want to have a shower, a lot of cats like that actually. Just a fine mist spray not full blast, look for a way to make a mister on the shower head

I have a cat that will jump in the shower when you finish and lick the water. He also likes to sit under the gutter outside when it rains and drink the rain water.
Who knows? I have yet to meet anyone who truly understands cats.

both of my cats like to sit on the edge of the bathtub while the water is in it or running. once one of my cat actually fell in the tub while there was water in it. my cat also puts it's front foot in the water dish while it drinks. lol

This is hilarious! My cat comes running when she hears the toilet flush and jumps on the toilet seat and watches the water drain. Cats are so much fun!
