(1) Money to pay for your education now and in the future is hard to get. Do you have anyone that can help you with tuition, books, etc.? If not, tell them it's harder because you have no other monetary source than yourself. Because you are a little-experience or "raw hire"--none in the job market, finding satisfactory employement to meet all of your necessities--food, clothing, gas for transportation, etc. is next to impossible. (2) Emphasize your current total income level. Without scholarship assistance, tell them there is no way you can further your education so that you can get a good job and make a better life / more comfortable life for yourself. Good luck! FYI: Apply for more than one, even if you are interested in only one college--there are multiple grant and scholarship opprotunities. Keep your grades up and the school extra curricular / outside community activities in focus. Some groups really look at all of that when they put a name up for consideration to possibly get their grant or scholarship. Good luck to ya & Happy Holidays!

So you're entire life has been easy? You don't need a deceased parent or physical disability to have a hardship. Everyone has problems they have to work through. If you can't think of even one thing you've had to overcome, maybe you're not scholarship material, and if you can't think of a single hardship, then your parents probably have enough money to send you to college and you don't need it anyway.

The first question to ask yourself is: Why are you applying for a scholarship if you don't have a hardship?

I agree w/ TXLADY. She has the best answer.

You could use writing about a hardship as an example:) There has to be something for you to write about. If not then something eventually will come or you could just make something up :) Just playing. Just keep thinking on it and something will come up.

come on, gather your thoughts. if you have not experience anything good in life, believe me, they are all bad. i think the school is not harsh on you by giving you only one blank page. they could have given you two pages for you to fill. start writing down anything and everything you can think of. you won't be surprise that one page is not enough for you.
