Marine Corps snipers AREN'T allowed to buy ghillie suits, however they make them from the things in their environment they will be operating in...

However the linen mesh or the base I'm not sure, I think they buy that or are issued it.

Snipers will take a flight suit that has loops on it, or netting, that allows the user to use real vegetation and match his suit exactly to his surroundings.

The sniper himself will make his own suit.

They make their own as part of the course. They have to use what is in their environment so they match-e.g. a pile of rags and garbage if they are operating in a city.

you get issued a the base garment for the suit, and then add to it, depending on what enviroment your going to be in, obviously if your going to be in a desert you wont want leaves and grass.
