A kitten will not eat more than he is hungry for and it is normal for their bellys to swell when they are full. If you are introducing a different type of food than he is use to, he may be constipated. I would not worry unless he seems to be in pain. If you are still worried, call your veterinary clinic and their answering machine will likely provide an emergency number. You can also find emergency animal clinics in the yellow pages. You may want to leave food out at all times until you get a better idea of how much he is eating a day (or follow the directions on the cat food bag - do not be worried, though, if they eat a little less)

Have you taken him to the vet before? Most kittens and puppies have worms that can make their bellies swell if they have gotten bad enough. One of the first things you're supposed to do when you get a kitten or puppy is make an appointment with a veterinarian's office and have them examined. They need shots and deworming. Your kitten might have worms. Might have eaten too much. Etc. Just keep an eye on him. You have to be especially careful of male cats and urinary tract infections. UTI's can kill male cats. If he ever has a problem peeing for nay reason ~ take him to a vet asap. I know that's a bit off topic... but I learned that the hard way. :o(

Best of luck.

I take it you never got a proper wormer from the vets? You should feed it tinned food twice a day and leave out cat biscuits all the time. Don't forget to leave clean water out all the time. How many times has it been wormed and what with? It seems like he has worms. Go to the vet as soon as they are open again on Wednesday.

You need a vet asap. Have you wormed your kitten? It is probably something simple but only a vet can tell you.

When you take in an animal, you are responsible for its care
for its entire life. They are not throw away toys. You make the time.

Most vets will tell you that you know your animal best. If you think your cat has something wrong then he probably has but maybe not serious. Call your vet, explain & ask for advice. They may tell you what to do over the phone & only ask you to bring hoim in later if he doesnt improve. You won't know til you ask so I would call asap
