What are the pros and cons?

Dont buy it. Get the Chevy Tahoe instead. The Tahoe is basically like an Escalade...only cheaper.

Nah--I trust shopper comments: the Escalade is overpriced. The GMC Yukon is geared up on the comparable chassis and is (curiously) a lots greater effective truck for the money. i've got ridden in an 06 Yukon and enjoyed it a sturdy deal. yet having pronounced that, i understand in basic terms what I hear appropriate to the Escalade.

If you get your rocks off on tarted up Tahoes, go for it. And if you like a vehicle that holds its value like a sieve holds water...
