My cat was so obsessed with the water that she learned from watching us, how to turn on the knobs on the sink. We would hear the water running in the bathroom and go in there. She would be sitting on the ledge of the sink, nudging the facet handle with her head then drink the water coming out. LOL Very talented. She also liked to take showers. Kinda weird. After we got out of the shower we'd turn it lower to mist or whatever it was, and she would sit in there a few minutes. She was a beautiful Calico.

I've had cats do this as well. Who knows why they behave this way? I'd sure like to know! Could be that the bathroom is a small, cozy place where they can get some one-on-one attention. Don't we all talk to Kitty when she jumps up on the side of the tub, or peeps around the shower curtain? They may also like the warmth when the bath is steamy from the hot water.
One of my cats dips his paw into his water dish before drinking, and frequently turns the water bowl over. Like I said, Who knows???? But to me, these little habits are endearing and special!

My cats are the same, they go crackers when I turn the taps on. They like to drink out of the taps, and play with the water with their paws. If I run the tap and hold my hand under it they will drink from my hand too! However, they hate getting completely wet. I have to keep the door ajar when I am showering, and like yours they love sitting in the bathroom.
Not sure how they would react if I had a bath, we've only got a shower at home!

lol my siamese cat is EXACTLY the same, he has even fallen in the bath before. Loves to sit on my lap when I am using the loo as well. He love to attack toes under the blankets, I don't have bubble baths so not sure about the bubbles. He also loves drinking from the toilet even though he is provided distilled water.
Cats are funny animals with quite the catinalities

My cat loves the bathroom as well! She will sit outside the bathroom door if it's closed all of the way and meow until you let her inside. Whenever I get out of the shower she's always on the counter of sitting on the floor waiting for me to get out and pet her and she loves to drink water from the sink even if I had just given her fresh water five minutes ago. The bathroom is her turf and I think her favorite thing to do is crawl into your cabinet where we keep out towels and she enjoys sleeping in there.

My cat LOVES to sit next to the tub when I take a bath or shower. He doesn't jump on my lap, but he likes to use his litter box while I'm doing my business (it's in the bathroom). He really likes to lick my feet after I get out of the shower.

Our Cat will always follow us to the bathroom, but as soon as the shower goes on runs and sits outside the door, however when we sit on the loo, she insists on sitting in the bidet and drinking from the tap, then when shes had enough of that she goes and brings her ball in to play fetch

Aww i think thats real sweet. It shows how much she really loves you. I remember one time when my kitty was a baby-she always loved being with someone , one time i was in the bath, she always used to site on the sides walk around the edge while i was in there. But one time her foot slipped and she fell in :-( she didnt like that much. She still likes being in the bathroom will sit and look at you but just not walk around the bath, although she does like standing on the side watching the water go down the plug hole (lol). She also doeslove chasing feet and jumping out on your feet unexpectidly.
A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your cat xx

He sounds like a normal cat to me. I have one who likes the bath and the other one will not let me go to the loo alone. If I lock myself in she scratch the door until I let her in. Cats are usually nuts!

My cat loves the bathroom...I think it's his favorite place in our house. I find toys and his stuffed animal in the tub all the time...he drops "milk-rings" into the toilet and sleeps in the sink sometimes. He also has been known to get in the shower with me too...but not my husband....for whatever reason....but seriously he loves to watch the toilet flush and play in the suds after i shower. It might sound corny but make sure your soap is "cat safe" I try to get only really mild soaps and yes, the are all non-toxic, but make sure they dont make your kitty sick...it might sound like that's a little up tight but someone told me that before and I really hadn't considered it....
