If it is someone you are interested in dating, I wouldn't call until the next day if they didn't show up at all. It may that they are testing you to see if you will freak out. Or it may be that they had no intention of coming over at all and just didn't want to tell you because it would hurt your feelings. Calling may come off as pushy or desperate, neither of which are good traits. If they were just going to come over casually to hang out, they may not think it a big deal to blow you off.

relies upon on what you would be late for, and with whom. If that's a job interview and you think of you would be even a minute late, you greater useful call first. If it somewhat is espresso along with your maximum suitable pal, 5 minutes is suitable and not utilizing a decision, as long as you make an apology once you arrive. If it somewhat is over 5 minutes, a decision and apology are continuously needed in case you would be able to get to a telephone. the only exception to that's if the inviter has given you a time variety, mutually with inviting you to a social gathering which will final from 8 PM till evening. in this occasion, you could appropriate arrive as much as a a million/2 hr after the form starts with out an apology or call.

Awesome question!

I think it depends on who the person is and their history.

If the person is regularly late, then I would allow 30-45 minutes.

If the person is usually on time, I would call after 20 minutes.

It also depends on how the plans were made. Was it to get together at 2:00, or was it 2:00ish? For some people 2:00ish means anytime between 2 and 3.

If at all possible, the person who is late should call to say they will be late. Ten minutes late is not very much. A lot of little things could happen to make you ten minutes late. I think I would wait 30 minutes before I called.

I'd wait 30 minutes, then leave or not answer the door. If the person has a good excuse, the person will tell you. If he changed his mind about coming over, you can assume that if he/she doesn't call.

You should not call. You're not the one who's late.

If the person was runnin' more than 30 minutes late, I'd give them a call just to make sure everything's ok and the plan is still on.

Was this a date?
If he doesn't give you the common courtesy of calling to let you know he was going to be late, then don't call him. If he really wanted your company, he would have been there EARLY.

If this is a friend, then I would call after 30 minutes. But man, what a stupid friend!
