Jet lag is the common term for the physiologial effects flying over several time zones has on your body. It also is compounded by your ability to rest, relax and sleep on the flight. Another factor is the direction of travel too. For example, I am a frequent traveller from the West Coast to Asia. I do not encounter jet lag coming to Asia as my flights from the U.S. leave at midnight and arrive around lunch time (a day later though). I take a short nap of an hour or so that afternoon then go to bed at my normal 2300-midnight range and I am no track the next day. Returning from Asia my flight leaves at noon and arrives in California 3 hours later according to the clock and calendar. It takes me 3 weeks to recover.

jet lag ,comes from either flying back into time zone or into time zone
by that i mean :if you were going to Europe ? you would miss some of you actual time ,since Europe is ahead of the US ...with travel and aiplanes changes and wait ? you would miss about 15 /20 hours of your schedule ............
it is all about the speed of a plane to take you there , but your body does not know the difference while traveling ..........when you get there ? people are on a total different schedule than you .........
you missed your night of sleep and half of your morning .........
so you stayed tired for a while .........trying to catch up with the country you are in ..........
you get there ? you are tired .and others are going to work .......time to sleep ? you are wide awake ........
it takes a while to get over it ............i would say upon my travels :1 week ..................

The time zone varies from country to country, so your body gets upset by this and sometimes you can't sleep and you will be tired in the morning... etc.
