it can be either of those two. the first situation, getting together for a few hours and one leaves, perhaps you two don't have much else to talk about or don't want to get to know each other outside of that. the second, you set yourself up for a friendship of sorts; it can be casual, but because you two were able to talk for hours, and because you did take her out, the expectation is there that you may eventually lead up to, or initiate, something more than casual. if you don't want anything more, then don't waste your time with the conversation and just go for what you know. if you want insurance, and wouldn't mind being with her for more than just that but aren't necessarily making that commitment at this time, then talk to her and show her a good time. it doesn't necessarily follow, that you two are an item, but you can't hate her for expecting that such may happen in the future.
and one other thing, if, for whatever reason, you feel that you have to play the game just to get the casual *, then you get whatever is coming to you. you should be upfront with what you want, even at the expense of the other person rejecting you and not giving into your demands. don't waste your time and she won't waste yours.

All the above! These relationship usually end up in complete failure unless both parties involved can stick within the "casual" guidelines! If you're the type that tends to fall in love easily, then this is not for you.

I think it depends on the person. A casual sexual relationship is anything without an emotional "relationship" commitment.

It's up to you and your partner. It's depend on your plan or his/her plan. After sex, well it's up to you to stay or walk away. It's just everything except the responsibility to gear up the relationship into a next level. It's just for sex.

Casual relationship means you meet someone infrequently just to have sex and you dont have any other feelings for your partner.
this relationship is just like in animals who have sex without any intimacy.
