if a child is jewish, then the parents of that will (or should have) explained that Santa is not real, and that only christians believe in Santa......

is it "kosher" for a jewish child to then go to school and relay the reality to their classmates? or is better to force the jewish child to participate in an anglo-christian ritual that has nothing to do with the jewish child's faith.

Santa is a game. Jesus is the problem. Should Jews tell their children that Jesus is a game too?

Jewish kids ought to tell Christian children there is no Santa. Christian parents shouldn't be lying to their kids. When I was five I wasn't a Jew or a Christian but I was telling the truth that there was no Santa. I got in trouble with the teacher at school. People ought to have respect for the truth and Santa is a lie. Now I am a Christian. I will never lie to my kids about Santa

Santa isn't a Christian invention or part of the Christian faith.
However, non-belief in something be it God or Santa is not a valid reason for telling those who believe in it that that deity or person is not real.
Everyone eventually stops believing in Santa and it does no harm to those children who believe in him.

This is not just an issue for Jewish parents. Many Christian parents do not like the whole Santa/elves/North Pole/Rudolph garbage because it has nothing to do with their faith, either!

Why not share what one knows to be the facts?

Judaism is not a faith BTW, it is a way of life, a civilization.

If Santa was real, Jesus was his son.

Yeah, but then the Christian kid would be able to tell the Jewish kid that there is no Chanukah Armadillo.
