Do you believe Wiccan/Pagan spells and/or rituals to be "Satanic" or "bad"/"evil".
If you do-Why?
Please,I am not looking for "Because its just bad." or "The Devil is behind it all!". If you think this way, please explain.(Without doing the 'ol copy and paste)
Thanks guys! Happy Holidays!

Only if negative results are desired. Otherwise no.
Remember most Christians will say divination is of the devil but they will also open their bible and blindingly poke a finger into the pages looking for answers.

Allow me to apologize for answering, being an Atheist, but I just couldn't help myself. The ritual magic practiced by most Wiccans/Pagans is actually a complicated prayer ceremony. Think of it in terms of the practice of communion. I did a lot of reading into the subject and have many friends locally that practice these sets of beliefs, and still to this day, although I do not subscribe to any of them, I am still fascinated.

Well if the spells and rituals include bad things like pain and suffering then yes, its bad. I dont think its all bad or all good in and of itself but the motive and intentions of the person performing is the deciding factor. This goes the same for prayer as well.. sometimes Christians pray with bad intentions too.

In my opinion, a belief is only valid if you believe in it. So, since I don't believe these spells or rituals, they have no value, good or evil. Evil is the antithesis of good. Many, past and present, who have claimed to be Christian have done bad, or evil, things. Pagans and atheists do not cater to Christian beliefs, either. Since this sounds confusing - read on:

BELIEF - n. 1. the state of believing; conviction or acceptance that certain things are true or real. 2. faith, esp. religious faith 3. trust or confidence [I have belief in his ability] 4. anything believed or accepted as true; esp., a creed, doctrine, or tenet 5. an opinion; expectation; judgment [my belief is that he'll come]
SYN.--belief, the term of broadest application in this comparison, implies mental acceptance of something as true, even though absolute certainty may be absent; faith implies complete, unquestioning acceptance of something even in the absence of proof and, esp., of something not supported by reason; trust implies assurance, often apparently intuitive, in the reliability of someone or something; confidence also suggests such assurance, esp. when based on reason or evidence; credence suggests mere mental acceptance of something that may have no solid basis in fact opinion.

So, this said, abstract ideas are nothing without belief.

Yes. Wiccan/Pagan spells are related to Satanism and sorcery, which is against the bible. The bible mentions it in Galatians 5:19-21 - Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 - Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 - Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Revelation 21:8 says But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murders, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolators, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. In short, it is ungodly and immoral to practice such satanic trash.

The question shouldn't only be why yet why lots of Jews believed that he replaced into the Messiah and God throughout the time of the time he lived and interior the earliest days of the religion. staring at it from the perspective of a 21 century Jew its puzzling if no longer impossible to understand. One needs to think with regard to the adaptation that factor has revamped the two millenia. whilst Christians seem back we seem back at what Jews believed at that factor. whilst Jews seem back they evaluate it to Judaism in the present day. there replaced into no Talmud no Kabbalah however the Sepher Yetzeria could have existed at that factor not one of the different works had yet been composed. Hebrew replaced into used only interior the Temple and in some synagogues. maximum Jews spoke Aramaic or Greek. Hebrew replaced into no longer getting used aside from learn and liturgical use. For the main section Jews weren't examining the "Tanakh" they have been examining the Septuagint and the Targums. Translations of the Jewish scriptures made into Greek and Aramaic. the two have been seen surprising translations then. as quickly as the Christians began utilising them this could exchange. The Jewish scriptures had no longer been redacted by utilising the Masorites yet. What replaced into seen Scripture replaced into diverse. Many books have been common as being Scripture that are no longer common in the present day. To get a extra powerful understanding you are able to desire to look on the Ethiopian Jews. Ethiopian Jews have been separated from something of the Jewish community before the time of Jesus and nonetheless settle for plenty of those books. those books incorporate the ideals many Christians have that present day Jews now reject. in certainty Ethiopian Jews settle for all the books contained interior the Catholic OT and various extra. the justifications why could be argued yet needless to say lots of the Scripture common by utilising the Jews that supported Jesus's Messiah-deliver replaced into rejected whilst the followers of Christianity began to dwarf Judaism. with regard to the pagan impacts or origins of Christianity. i'm going to assert we can discover an analogous development in Judaism. Clears references to Artemis and similarities to pagan ideals interior the region. an trustworthy seem will tutor very diverse contexts to those similarities and intensely lots on incompatibility. There are books that declare that each and each physique religions are certainly an analogous utilising an analogous good judgment. all of us comprehend that it quite is not authentic.

The Bible makes it clear that any dealings with "magic", no matter what form, is evil. The idea is that "forbidden" information, something that comes from a source other than Jesus is wrong. As Carmen says, don't look to the stars, but look to the One that created the stars.

Rituals are a form of worship, to someone or something. If we don't worship Jesus, who is being worshiped? This gets into idolatry.

Merry Christmas.
P.S. I didn't forget I have some scripture for you.

Here is an answer.

Pornography and the Occult

----- --- ----- --- -----

by Jim J. McCrea

There is a profound level of truth to what attracts people to the
*occult,* but there is an extreme danger at the same time.

That is why the Church forbids dabbling in the occult.

The occult is analogous to *pornography* (which is also
forbidden).

Generally, we do not say that we delve into pornography to
understand beauty better.

Why?

It is because of the nature of pornography.

What is it that makes pornography so alluring, yet so destructive at
the same time?

What is shown there is an exceedingly *brilliant* yet exceedingly
*narrow* reflection of the |||divine beauty.|||

All things on this earth that attract us are but some reflection of the
divine beauty, which really is God Himself.

It is the combination of the brilliance and the narrowness of the
divine reflection that makes pornography so attractive, yet so
destructive.

It is an *isolated* fragment of supreme beauty. Without having the
whole, where the right balance is found, this isolated fragment
tends to unbalance the human psyche and soul.

It is like a steel blade of great strength, yet exceeding narrowness,
that plunges into flesh.

How is the occult similar to this?

The occult is an exceedingly *deep,* yet exceedingly *narrow*
reflection of the |||divine truth,||| which again is God Himself.

It is a fragment of exceedingly deep truth that is separated from
the whole.

The whole is found in a legitimate science where it tends to balance
and enrich the mind.

The fragment (of great depth) tends to unbalance the mind and the
personality.

In fact, the occult can be far more dangerous than pornography,
because a truth, if it is deep enough, brings intellectual pleasure that
far exceeds sexual pleasure.

However, in heaven, where the blessed see infinite truth, goodness,
and beauty - that is God - face to face. Pornography or the occult
will no longer be a danger.

For all the goodness and truth that attracts the human mind about
them, will be seen in God in a pre-eminent whole. As a result, that
vision will render the soul infinitely blessed.

I believe any belief contrary to Christianity is wrong. Now before you ding me... I don't hold the belief in Wicca to be any more evil than other non Christian beliefs. I simply believe (as wiccans and other religions do) that Christianity is correct. Some believers in Wicca are wonderful people and do nothing I would deem evil. Their just lost like other non-believers are.

The Bible condemns witchcraft of all kinds. In the Law of Moses it had the death penalty. In the Revelation of Jesus Christ 21:8 it say:

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolators, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

sorcerers....there you have it.

Actually many people follow the practice of witchcraft when they try to manipulate other people. The Bible also says that covetousness is idolatry.
