When God said Adam would die, he didn't mean a physical death. He meant a spiritual death, meaning that if Adam ate the fruit he'd be cut off from God forever.

According to your logic, if God had lied then wouldn't Adam still be walking among us?

God is not a man and He cannot lie. Because whatever He says is what happens, He's calling the shots.

they have that coated. They declare that it replaced into "religious dying," even however the Hebrew be conscious used is an analogous one that's used for the actual dying of somebody in different factors of the previous testomony. And no, if dying did no longer yet exist interior the international he could have had no thought what that meant. God could desire to besides have mentioned, "in case you consume this, you will gzwidthorp" and Adam could desire to have theory that regarded like exciting. To the atheists asserting different metaphorical meanings, bear in suggestions that fundamentalists insist that the story is thoroughly literal.
